The main international airport in Uganda is Entebbe International Airport, which is located approximately 35 kilometers from the capital city, Kampala. It serves as the main gateway to Uganda for travelers arriving by air. The airport has two terminals; Terminal 1 handles international flights while Terminal 2 is for domestic flights.

Other airports in Uganda include:

  • Gulu Airport, located in northern Uganda, serves both domestic and international flights.
  • Arua Airport, located in northwestern Uganda, serves mostly domestic flights.
  • Jinja Airport, located in eastern Uganda, is mainly used for domestic flights and chartered air services.
  • Kisoro Airport, located in southwestern Uganda, is mainly used for regional flights to neighboring countries like Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Most of Uganda's airports are run by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and have undergone significant upgrades in recent years to improve facilities and safety standards. However, some smaller airfields are managed by private operators and may have limited services and infrastructure.
